چکیده
Abstract A bridge is a structure that joins two highways and has four distinct parts: the deck, abutment, pier, joist. For safety reasons, this required routine inspections by qualified inspector. Suggesting new approach uses non-contact testing technologies (NCT) will resolve all difficulties related to inspector’s current conventional method’s increased time, expense, labor intensity. Compared traditional approaches using visual inspection, NCT are prospective instruments for assessing state of bridges since they allow quick simple measurement with little disruption traffic. Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) now taught in surveying courses help surveyors perform their jobs more efficiently. The goal study was make technology use better because it requires less human interaction quality results. TLS contains points cloud consisting x, y, z coordinates; hence can produce 3-dimensional (3D) model output. main objective 3D from point data, followed second objective, which compare pier dimension various distance setup location. To achieve configuration Zig Zag location cover configure three measure accuracy dimension. control actual data done measuring Total Station tape. output Cyclone Register360 compared data. results shown produced accurate measurement. Setup depends on suitability work increase

Influences of Different Materials on the Measurements of a Terrestrial Laser Scanner (tls)
During the last years terrestrial laser scanning became a standard method of data acquisition for various applications in close range domain, like industrial production, forest inventories, plant engineering and construction, car navigation and – one of the most important fields – the recording and modelling of buildings. To use laser scanning data in an adequate way, a quality assessment of th...
متن کاملOcclusion Area as Suitable Guidance for Terrestrial Laser Scanner Localization
Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) technology, have altered quickly data acquisition for map production in surveying. In many cases, it is impossible to complete surveying of the desired area without TLS displacement in one station to another. Occlusion is innate in data acquisition, with this type of device. To solve this problem, TLS devices should be placed in different locations and scanning o...
متن کاملApplication of a Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS) to the Study of the Séchilienne Landslide (Isère, France)
The active Séchilienne landslide (Isère, France) has been continuously monitored by tacheometry, radar and extensometry devices for 25 years. Indeed, if the 3 mil. m 3 of rocks in the active zone named ―Ruines‖ fell down, the debris would dam the Romanche valley. The breaking of the dam by overtopping and rapid erosion would bring a catastrophic flood and other dramatic consequences throughout ...
متن کاملComparison of Terrestrial Laser Scanner with Digital Aerial Photogrammetry for Extracting Ridges in the Rice Paddies
The patches of the rice paddies are generally positioned by a traditional surveying method such as Plane Table and Total Station in Korea. This study has been undertaken to check whether TLS (Terrestrial Laser Scanner) could meet the accuracy standard, compare TLS survey data with those one of the new modern survey technologies such as digital aerial photogrammetry and RTK GPS. As a result, it ...
متن کاملComparison of Terrestrial Laser Scanner and Synthetic Aperture Radar Data in the Study of Forest Defoliation
We present new results from a terrestrial laser scanner (TLS) based investigation on forest defoliation caused by the European pine sawfly (Neodiprion sertifer) in a Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) dominated forest. The TLS results are compared with simultaneous ERS-2 Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images in order to investigate the synchronous use of ALS and radar in forest change detection, and...
